The Signs and Symptoms of Pregnancy

Probably, this is the most favourite question of every woman who missed her menstrual period on due date.

If you keep asking yourself that question, take a deep breath and don’t panic!

First of all, ask yourself if it is possible that you are pregnant. Please, note: the only way to get pregnant is to have vaginal intercourse. Kissing, body rubbing, oral or anal sex,  masturbation won’t cause pregnancy.

So, if you still think you may be pregnant,  it is better to find out right now. The sooner you know, the more time you will have to plan your future and decide what to do.

Here is the list of the signs and symptoms that may be experienced in early pregnancy starting from 8-10 days after ovulation. These are:

  • Morning/noon/night sickness or vomiting
  • Headaches
  • Mood changes
  • Fatigue
  • Altered sense of smell
  • Change in the foods or aromas you like/dislike
  • Metallic taste in the mouth
  • Breast soreness
  • Darkening of the area around the nipples
  • Bloating or/and feeling crampy
  • Light spotting around the time your period is due
  • Increased volume of vaginal secretions (but without itchiness or any other disturbances)
  • More frequent urination

Most of the symptoms mentioned above are not common in all women. Some women will have absolutely no problem, while others seem to have all of them. Therefore, for a definite confirmation that you’re pregnant you should take a home pregnancy test or/and visit your health care provider to take a blood test.
