Sleep Disorders: How to Go to Sleep Fast

First, it is important to know that human sleep is regulated by melatonin.

What is melatonin? It is a hormone that is produced by the own human body.  Melatonin controlSleep Disorderss our biological clock, telling us when it is time to sleep and time to wake up. Production of melatonin by our body is inhibited by light and permitted by darkness.

So, the first step in fighting sleep disorders is to remove all light sources from your bedroom. Remember, even the slightest amount of light can stop the production of melatonin!

Next, you shouldn’t forget that the food we eat can also cause insomnia. All foods that contain caffeine stimulate our brain and reduce production of melatonin. So, avoid drinking coffe, tea or Coca-Cola before going to bed.

Alcohol is another stimulator that induces sleep disorders.

If you feel hungry, it is good to have a glass of milk with a slice of wheat bread. Milk is rich in tryptophan that is effective sleep aid, and wheat bread will help the tryptophan to be absorbed.

Also,  avoid doing sports for at least two hours before going to bed.

Make sure your bed is cozy and comfortable.

And don’t smoke at all for at least an hour  before going to bed!
