Signs and Symptoms of Stress

stressIt is obvious that 21st century can be regarded as the most stressful one. Although, scientists believe that stress is essencial to our body to adapt to changes, it’s important to know that too much of stress can cause mental, social, and physical health problems. To avoid all these it is important to learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress, so you would be able to manage it.

Signs and symptoms of stress include:

  • fatigue,
  • exhaustion,
  • loss of concentration,
  • loss of or increased appetite,
  • weight gain or loss,
  • headaches,
  • high blood pressure,
  • shortness of breath,
  • increased irritability,
  • heightened sensitivity to criticism and/or crying,
  • anxiety, tension, nail-biting,
  • depression,
  • indigestion,
  • constipation or diarrhea,
  • drinking and smoking more,
  • insomnia or oversleeping,
  • early morning waking.

If you have some of these symptoms, consult your doctor first to make sure that you are not suffering from any other health problems.
