Healthy Tips to Prevent Hangover
Here are some healthy tips for those who are really worried about hangover.
- Take 1 glass of warm milk with 1 tablespoon honey before the party. It will slow down the alcohol absorption.
- Drink 100ml of olive oil 1 hour before consumption of alcohol.
- Avoid drinking alcohol on an empty stomach. Keep eating something before and during alcohol consumption, especially the foods containing vitamin B.
- Drink plenty of fluids (non-alcoholic!) such as water or juice.
- Drink clear alcohol. Dark alcohol contains cogeners that are more likely to cause hangover symptoms.
- Do not mix different types of drinks with various alcohol level content.
- Time your drinks, as your liver metabolizes alcoholic beverages very slowly.
- Avoid drinking coffee before going to bed. It is better to take at least 2 glasses of water or any fresh juice.
