Health Benefits of Drinking Lots of Water

Water is necessary for human health!

Our body is composed of about 55-65% of water - the human brain is made up of 89% water, blood is 80%, lungs are 90%, muscles – 70% and bones – 21%.

Health Benefits of Drinking Water

  • Water promotes proper digestion.
  • Water regulates the body temperature, especially during exercise.
  • Drink water to lose weight. It stimulates kidneys and helps to reduce water retention.
  • Water helps to purify the body,
  • Water is essential for cleaning – it removes toxins from our body.
  • Water keeps your skin look healthy. Lack of water makes the skin look dry.
  • Drinking enough water is important when exercising, as it helps energize muscles.

If your water does not taste good, add a slice of lemon or 1 tbsp. raw lemon juice.

Coffee, tea, and sodas do not replace water. They contain caffeine and make body to excrete more water than it actually takes in.

How much water should I drink a day?

Drink 8 glasses of water a day and enjoy better health!

    One of the most important benefits to drinking a lot of water is the benefit realized in the kidneys. Urine, which is almost entirely water, removes waste products from the body.

    A study was recently conducted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg (Virginia) concluded that drinking water half-litre of water before a meal appears to curb the appetite!!!
